DIY PERFECT LIPS FOR ANY OCCASION

He estado buscando formas para sacarle el máximo partido a mis labios, la verdad es que son una de las primeras impresiones en las que unx se fija al conocerte. Además, parece ser que los labios no están hechos para este mundo, porque tanto si hace frío, como si hace calor, se deshidratan, se secan, se abren,... qué drama.

Estoy probando un par de productos y si encuentro alguno que me guste, os lo digo, pero hasta entonces, para mí ganan estas recetitas naturalesssss. ;)

Voy a repetir muchos ingredientes, pero porque son los más claves, y dependiendo de las combinaciones consiguen un resultado u otro. Podéis mezclar todos los ingredientes y combinar los pasos para hacer un cuidado express, pero lo mejor es ir haciendo cada uno por separado. 

EXFOLIANTE LABIAL

- Una cucharada de azúcar

- Una cucharadita de miel

- Una cucharadita de aceite (oliva/coco)

La primera combinación es ideal para deshacerte de las células muertas y para estimular la circulación, dándole un aspecto más vivo al labio. El azúcar y la miel son los principales exfoliantes, y el aceite se ocupa de la hidratación.

También puedes comprarte un cepillo de dientes suave para exfoliarte los labios (siempre lavándolo después de cada uso) pero no sé, aún así no me parece tan higiénico...

"PLUMB" LABIAL

- Una cucharadita de canela y/o pimienta de cayena

- Una cucharadita de miel

- Una cucharadita de aceite (oliva/coco)
- Unas gotitas de aceite de menta

La canela, cayena y las gotitas de menta estimulan los vasos sanguíneos aumentando el flujo en los labios, de esta manera, vas a tener un efecto natural más hinchadito. La menta no es obligada, pero es una opción muy buena, puedes mezclarlo también en tu gloss para tener un "lip plumber on the go".

He leído que también puedes frotarte los labios con un trocito de jengibre natural o de jalapeño. 

MASCARILLA LABIAL

- Una cucharada de miel

- Una cucharada de aceite (oliva/coco)

- Esencia de aceite de jojoba (opcional)

Esta es la variable más sencilla de todas, pero porque son las dos mejores propiedades para ponerte en los labios. Si lo untas en un algodoncito y te lo frotas sobre los labios, acabas teniendo unos labios súper jugosos naturalmente.

I've been looking for ways to get the most out of my lips, honestly they're one of the first thing someone notices when meeting you. Whats more, it looks like lips aren't made for this world, because no matter if it's "too cold" or "too hot", lips always dehydrate, chip out, open,... what a drama.

I'm trying a few products and if I find something, I'll let you know, but until then, for me the natural remedies are the best onessssss. ;)

I'm gonna repeat many ingredients, but because they're just key, and depending on how you combine them they get one result or another. You can mix all the ingredients together and combine the steps doing an express care, but the best way is doing each separately. 

LIP EXFOLIATION

- One tablespoon of sugar
- One teaspoon of honey
- One teaspone of oil (olive/coconut)

The first combination is ideal to get rid of dead cells and to stimulate circulation, giving the lip a more vivid aspect. The honey and the sugar are in charge of exfoliating, while the oil helps out with hydration.

You could also buy a soft toothbrush to exfoliate your lips (always cleaning after every use) but I don't know, I still don't find it very hygienic.

LIP PLUMBER

- One teaspoon of cinnamon and/or cayenne pepper
- One teaspoon of honey
- One teaspoon of oil (olive/coconut)
- A few drops of mint oil

The cinnamon, cayenne and mint drops stimulate the blood vessels increasing the flow in the lips, this way, you'll get a more puffy effect. The mint isn't obligatory, but it's a very good option, you can also mix it in your gloss to have a "lip plumber on the go".

I've read that you can also rub your lips with a piece of ginger or jalapeño.

LIP MASK

- One tablespoon of honey
- One tablespoon oil (olive/coconut)
-  A few drops of essence of jojoba oil (optional)

This is the most simple variable of all, but because they're the best ones to put on your lips. If you spread it on a litte cotton swap and rub it on your lips, you'll end up having super juicy lips naturally.

MANTRAS FOR SUCCESS

Hoy me levanté con ganas de motivaros con un par de "mantras" que me digo a mí misma cuando necesito un pequeño boost de autoestima. ¡Decidme si os ha gustado en los comentarios!

"Sueña en grande."

Está bien (y es necesario) tener metas pequeñas diarias, a corto plazo, para poder sentirte evolucionar. Pero no tengas miedo a tener sueños grandes también, el hecho de soñar con un objetivo, hará que todo lo que hagas te lleve por ese camino.

"No dudas ni pidas permiso, actúa."

No esperes la afirmación de los demás, haz y lucha por lo que quieras conseguir. La vida es tuya, tú eres quien va a vivirla. Y sinceramente, la aceptación es muy difícil conseguirla. Hay otra frase que dice, "hasta Jesús tenía enemigos", y es cierto, todo lo que ha hecho Jesús por la humanidad, y aún así acabó crucificado.

"No existe el éxito sin fracasos."

Si quieres hacer algo no esperes que lo vayas a conseguir a la primera. ¡Y mejor! Imagina que de buenas a primeras todo te sale bien, en un ámbito que, aunque conozcas la teoría, no conoces la práctica, te agobiarías y acabarías fracasando aún teniendo éxito. El árbol mas grande del bosque un día fue una pequeña semilla.

"La pereza no lleva al éxito."

Hay miles de formas de llegar al éxito, de conseguir lo que quieras en la vida, pero la vagancia, no es una de ellas en absoluto! Lo primero que hay que hacer para conseguir algo es constancia. 

"No dejas para mañana lo que puedas hacer hoy."

La típica frase del instituto, no? Si la tarea es para el viernes, y la podrías haber hecho el miércoles, no la dejes para el jueves porque sí. En la vida es diferente, no hay fecha de entrega, pero cuanto más tarde empieces en hacer algo, más tarde lo terminarás. 

"Di sí a nuevas oportunidades".

La vida da mil vueltas, y arriesgarse es una de las cosas más bonitas que se pueden hacer para lograr algo diferente en la vida. Si quieres vivir nuevas experiencias, prueba nuevos caminos. 

"Si fracasa el plan, cámbialo, pero no cambies la meta."

A veces es posible que para llegar a algo hayas elegido un camino que no te esté llevando por donde querías. Si realmente querías llegar ahí, simplemente cambia el camino, pero no dejes que se derrumbe todo un sueño solo porque haya salido mal el plan A.

"Cuanto más conocimiento tengas, más crecerás como persona."

Es súper importante nunca desacostumbrar al cerebro a funcionar, a absorber cosas nuevas. Nunca dejes de aprender, ya sea un idioma nuevo, ya sean técnicas de marketing, ya sea coser, ya sea leer ¡lo que sea! Pero no dejes de hacerlo.

"No temas al éxito".

Último pero menos imprescindible, no temas a conseguir las cosas. No temas a dar pasos nuevos, a decir "ay pero quizás no estoy preparadx para esto", "no me lo merezco". Y tampoco temas al qué dirán, porque siempre dirán algo, hagas lo que hagas. Vive y sé feliz por y para ti!

Today I woke up wanting to motivate you with a few "mantras" I tell myself when I need a little self-esteem boost. Tell me if you liked it in the comments!

"Dream big."

It's good (and necessary) to have small daily goals, short term ones, so you can feel yourself evolving. But don't fear having big dreams as well, the fact that your dreaming with a goal, will make all your steps go that way.

"Don't doubt or ask for permission, act."

Don't expect other people's acceptation, do and fight for what you want to achieve. Your life is yours, you're the one who's living it. And sincerely, it's very hard to receive people's acceptation. There's another phrase that says, "even Jesus had enemies", and it's true, everything he did for humanity, and still he was crossed.

"There is no success without failures."

If you want to do something, don't expect to get it right the first time. Thankfully! Imagine getting everything done right from the first try, in a subject that, although you know about the theory, you haven't ever practiced it, you'd get overwhelmed and would end up failing even with the success. The biggest tree in the forest was once a little seed.

"Laziness doesn't lead to success."

There are a thousand of ways to achieve success, to get what you want in life, but laziness, isn't one of them at all! The fist thing you'll have to do to get something will be being constant.

"Don't leave for tomorrow what you can leave done today."

The typical high school saying, right? If your tasks are due to Friday, and you could've done them on Wednesday, don't leave them for Thursday just because you want to. In life it's different, there's no date of delivery, but the sooner you start to do something, the sooner you'll achieve it.

"Say yes to new opportunities."

Life takes many turns, and risking is one of the most beautiful things you can do to achieve different things from it. If you want to live new experiences, try taking new roads.

"If the plan fails, change it, but don't change the goal."

Sometimes it's posible that you may have taken the wrong road to get somewhere, maybe that one takes you somewhere else. if you really wanted to get to that point, just change your path, but don't let you entire dreams go down just because plan A didn't work.

"The more you know, the more you'll grow."

It's super important to never unaccustom the brain to work, to absorb new information. Never stop learning, it could be a new language, marketing techniques, sewing, reading, whatever! But never stop doing it.

"Don't fear success."

Last but not least, don't be afraid of achieving things. Don't be afraid of taking new steps, don't say "oh but maybe I'm not ready for this", "I don't deserve this". And don't be afraid of what they might say, because the will always say something, whatever you do. Live and be happy for you and only you!
